The Right Way Only

As a vehicle tester in the futurist Honest Dan car factory, you have been assigned to try the new model.  

It’s a simple task – drive through the test course from start to finish. Unfortunately, the developers of the steering software wrote it as a part of a game jam and didn’t quite finish the code. As such – except for moving forward, the car can only turn right…

Keys: 

• Forward arrow = move forward
• Right arrow = move right
• ‘R’ = Reset level and start over
• ‘Esc’ = quit level and go back to the level selection menu.

 

The game is based on Robert Abbott's “No-Left-Turn Maze”. I have seen a few sites using his original work but very few acknowledge it. I strongly recommend looking up some of his magnificent puzzles.

The game uses the following assets: Kenney (www.kenney.nl) racing pack and ui pack, Simple Keys by @beamedeighth

This game was made for The Pacifist Jam (Honest Jam 6) and to learn a new game engine.

While fully playable, there is a development roadmap for future improvements, that probably will be a part of an “improvement” jam, when one pops up.
